On Day 1, Dr. Echem began her lecture by assessing the attendees’ level of knowledge of gender and development by asking a series of questions. During the three-day conference, the attendees explored the Basic Gender and Development Concepts, Gender and Development Policies and Mandates, and Gender and Development Tools. Participants could apply what they had learned throughout the workshop into practice by participating in group activities, asking questions about specific areas, and developing a plan to address gender-related concerns.
