Excellence in Architecture: Dr. Adolph Vigor receives ASEAN architect conferment

Dr. Adolph Vincent E. Vigor, UAP, RIBA, ASEAN Architect, Associate Professor V, College of Engineering and Architecture at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Cagayan de Oro (USTP CDO), was officially conferred as an ASEAN Architect (AA PH 00164) during the 10th ASEAN Architect Conferment Ceremony, entitled “DEKADA LAURENTES: Decennium – Vanguard Architects for the ASEAN Future,” on February 17, 2026 at the Makati Diamond Residence Hotel, Makati City. The recognition carries endorsements from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP), including an approved specialization in Research and Development in Architectural Technology. 

Ar. Vigor is the third ASEAN Architect from Cagayan de Oro after a decade. With years of professional experience, a strong academic and research background, leadership, peer evaluation, and proven contributions to the profession. 

The title was formally conferred by Hon. Charito Zamora, Commissioner, Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), CHED Commissioner Ricmar Aquino, Ar. Robert Mirafuente, FUAP, ASEAN Architect, APEC Architect, Chairman, Professional Regulatory Board of Architecture (PRBOA), Ar. Mike Guerrero, Member, Professional Regulatory Board of Architecture, and Ar. Jonathan V. Manalad, FUAP, PhD, PIEP, National President, United Architects of the Philippines. 

This recognition reflects compliance with a rigorous regional evaluation process that considers extensive professional experience, leadership, research and academic contributions, and adherence to ethical and professional standards aligned with the ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) on Architectural Services.

This achievement highlights advancing research and innovation, upholding excellence in practice and education, strengthening regional partnerships, and contributing to the future of architecture in the ASEAN region which strongly align with USTP’s commitment to innovation, academic excellence, and global engagement.
