Initial 100 students receive tablets for online classes in USTP CDO

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) in Cagayan de Oro recently handed over 100 tablets to students from the different colleges for their online classes.

Due to the challenges brought by the pandemic, the University reached out to the students and conducted an online survey to assess their needs when it comes to the availability of gadgets. Those who needed the gadgets were identified after thorough evaluation and review.

The initial 100 tablets were distributed to the different colleges in USTP CDO

For students who did not manage to receive a tablet, they were provided with load assistance which is also essential for communication and online classes.

The students were reminded on how to take care of the tablets

The 100 tablets were distributed as follows:

College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) – 32

College of Information Technology and Computing (CITC) – 24

College of Technology (CT) – 19

College of Science and Technology Education (CSTE) – 12

College of Sciences and Mathematics (CSM) – 11

Senior High School – 2

The students were reminded to take care of the tablets which will be checked by the University from time to time.
