PHIVIDEC Board approves Usufruct Agreement for allocation of site for USTP Villanueva

The Philippine Veterans Investment Development Corporation (PHIVIDEC) Industrial Authority Board has approved the Usufruct Agreement between the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) for a period of 25 years.

The agreement pertains to the allocation of a site inside the PHIVIDEC Industrial Estate in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental for USTP Villanueva.

The agreement was approved last February 4, 2021 during the PHIVIDEC Industrial Authority Board Meeting with PHIVIDEC Administrator Jose Gabriel “Pompee” M. La Viña.

USTP will establish a 5-hectare campus inside the PHIVIDEC Industrial Estate that will complement with the locator industries in the PHIVIDEC Economic Zone.

With the agreement, PHIVIDEC Industrial Authority shall have a seat in the Advisory Council of the Technology Business Incubation (CDO b.i.t.e.s. Program).

USTP System President Dr. Ambrosio B. Cultura II led a series of meetings and consultations with the PHIVIDEC Industrial Authority since last year despite the pandemic until finally to fruition.

PHIVIDEC Industrial Authority is a government fully owned and controlled corporation and manages the 3,000 hectare PHIVIDEC Industrial Estate in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental.
