PNAO staff delivers a box of MannaPack Rice to USTP Oroquieta.
The Provincial Nutrition Action Council (PNAO) of Misamis Occidental partners with USTP Oroquieta in its Provincial Feeding Program with HAPAG-ASA Foundation. This is in line with the province’s aim to combat malnutrition among infants, children, pregnant and lactating women.
PNAO sent 36 packs of MannaPack Rice to USTP Oroquieta to come up with innovative menus.
MannaPack Rice is a rice meal made specifically for malnourished children. It is rich in protein, carbohydrates and other key nutrients.

These MannaPacks will be utilized in making innovative menus for infants 0 to 1,000 days, pregnant women, and lactating mothers.
With that request, the campus’ Extension Coordinator, Ms. Ma. Liberty B. Doncillo, plans to coordinate with the experts from the Food Innovation Center in USTP Cagayan de Oro, to come up with a research-based output which would include processing and packaging of different ingredients that will be added to MannaPack for variation and improved nutrition.
USTP Oroquieta, represented by Ms. Ma. Liberty B. Doncillo, has been a member of the Provincial Nutrition Council of Misamis Occidental, and has been working with them in preparing nutritious foods for vulnerable groups.
