On July 5, 2023, the Rotaract Club of USTP Jasaan, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Central Jasaan led by President Greg C. Pegarro and the USTP Jasaan Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering students and private donors, conducted the MUGNA: PAGLAUM SA MGA INHAN UG KABATAAN activity under the Maternal and Child Health Care supporting malnourished children by providing nutritious meal for the identified children at Barangay Bobontugan, Jasaan, Misamis Oriental.
The feeding program benefited 22 children. It aimed not to provide an instant solution to malnutrition but to give hope to the mothers and their children and to make them feel that they are not alone on this journey towards a healthier life.
The presence of the members of the Rotaract Club of Balingasag Premier, who rushed to join, made the activity even more meaningful.
Barangay Bobontugan Captain, Honorable Jessica C. Emano, welcomed the Rotaractors and Rotarians. She was very grateful for the help that was extended to their community.
“Unta magpabilin kini nga legasiya alang sa katawhan sa Barangay Bobontugan. Unta nga daghan pa ang maingganyo nga moapil sa inyong organization para mas daghan pa inyong matabangan,” Brgy. Captain Mrs. Jessica Emano expressed her grateful heart for the organization.
The conducted activity showed that Trailblazers, the USTP students and RAC of USTP Jasaan, will find ways to develop, improve, and make a big difference for the communities much as they are being developed by the USTP System.
