In strengthening partnerships, innovative collaboration, and digital transformation, the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) and Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) formalized their partnership through a Memorandum Signing Ceremony at the NBSC Board Room on June 13, 2025, for the commercialization of GIAMS-ERP.

The Government Integrated Administrative Management System (GIAMS) is developed by USTP’ Digital Transformation Office (DTO) that supports and elevates the ease of doing business and efficient government service delivery as per Republic Act No. 11032.

To officially seal the partnership, key stakeholders delivered keynote messages; Mary Koren Witting-Acuesa, PhD, Research Development, and Innovation Division Director formally opened the ceremony through acknowledgement of participants and the USTP. Meanwhile, Ms. Christie Jean Villanueva- Ganiera, EdD, CESE, State University College (SUC) President I delivered her welcome message emphasizing the partnership of both universities to strengthen academic research and innovation.

Dr. Ambrosio B. Cultura II, University System President, delivered his message extending gratitude for research innovation, which is the strong vision of the USTP, reflecting a shared commitment to digital transformation. He further emphasized that “This achievement is not just a partnership but the power of science and technology delivered closer to society. This is the first technology commercialization in the research product, ensuring the path of transforming commercialization.

Thus, he also highlighted that technology is an enabler in linking innovation and academe, particularly in the areas of sustainable development.

He further stressed that ”Your institution’s decision to use the USTP’s GIAMS and harness the research of USTP is a strong reflection of our continued commitment to excellence, transforming ideas into the market and creating impact to the communities. “

Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, PhD, Vice President for Academic Affairs, formally concludes the program by extending their gratitude and big thanks in the trust of USTP to the NBSC in the foresight of the partnership, transitioning to an innovative future together and a leap forward towards their effective and efficient service delivery.

USTP’s commitment to innovation is a reminder that research just does not end in the laboratory, and with NBSC, trust in the commercialization of GIAMS is a reflection to the strong vision of the university, linking education to the community.
