USTP Alubijid holds two-day sports activities for AluFest 2026

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Alubijid, Misamis Oriental (USTP Alubijid) held its two-day intramurals, the AluFest 2026: Muling Pagsibol, on January 27-28, 2026, organized by the Sports, Arts, and Cultural Office in collaboration with the University Student Government of USTP Alubijid, transforming the campus grounds and Barangay Lourdes Covered Court into venues of competition, camaraderie, and cultural celebration. The AluFest 2026 is an annual intramural of USTP Alubijid, centered on competitions from academics, sports, and games that brought together students, faculty, and non-teaching personnel in a wide array of activities, from recreational competitions to the traditional larong pinoy.
This year’s festivities are anchored on the theme “Muling Pagsibol”. AluFest 2026 emphasized the rebirth of Filipino cultural appreciation through sportsmanship and shared participation. By integrating both modern and traditional forms of games and competition, the event highlighted the enduring relevance of cultural values while fostering unity and mutual respect within the USTP Main Campus community.
AluFest 2026 reaffirmed USTP Alubijid’s dedication to nurturing a vibrant campus culture that balances physical development, cultural appreciation, and community engagement through student-centered initiatives.
