The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) in Cagayan de Oro has procured an additional 1GBPS bandwidth for the second semester of Academic Year 2020-2021. This is in addition to the existing 625MBPS bandwidth of USTP CDO.
Engr. Mary Ann E. Telen, Director for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Services of the USTP CDO, said the additional bandwidth aims to support the online requirements of faculty and operations of the University.
The bandwidth upgrade was awarded to PLDT last year and for full deployment this February. Funding is sourced from the University’s Special Trust Fund.
USTP has shifted to Flexible Learning Modalities last year due to the pandemic.
