USTP CDO welcomes MATS College of Technology for academic and campus tour

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Cagayan de Oro (USTP CDO), through its College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA), welcomed a delegation from MATS College of Technology – Mindanao Aeronautical Technical School, Davao City, as part of the Cagayan–Iligan Educational Tour 2026 held on March 3, 2026. The visiting group was composed of 95 students from the Mechanical Engineering (ME), Electrical Engineering (EE), Industrial Engineering (IE), and Electronics Engineering (ECE) programs, together with ten faculty members headed by Dean Dr. Leonardo P. Revelo, PEE. The visit aimed to provide students with greater exposure to leading institutions in science and technology education and to broaden their understanding of innovation-driven learning environments.
During the visit, the delegation was introduced to USTP CDO’s academic programs and facilities through a brief institutional presentation. The group also participated in a campus tour and discussion sessions with relevant college offices and laboratories, allowing them to learn more about the university’s contributions to technological advancement and industry collaboration. The tour included visits to selected USTP CDO laboratories, namely the Northern Mindanao Metals and Engineering Innovation Center, the Advanced Mechatronics Laboratory, the Communication and Digital Laboratory, and the Automation, Instrumentation, and Process Control Laboratory.
USTP continues to serve as a hub for innovation and technology-driven education, playing a vital role in advancing regional and national development. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for knowledge sharing and academic engagement between the two institutions.
