USTP Claveria Band clinches championship at Sound Clash: Battle of the Bands 2025

In a night filled with thrilling performances and musical talent, the USTP Claveria Band proudly took top honors at the Sound Clash: Battle of the Bands. This event took place at the DRER Memorial Hall, USTP CDO on August 16, 2025. The victory marked a significant achievement for the band, as they outperformed 12 other skilled groups from the USTP system in a tough competition that displayed a lively musical scene.
The event is part of the grand celebrations for the 2025 USTP System Charter Day, drew a large crowd of students, faculty, and community members eager to witness the best in student-led musical acts. From the first note to the final encore, the Claveria Band captivated audiences with their dynamic performance, tight instrumentals, and soulful vocals, ultimately earning the coveted title.
Behind this success is a story of dedication and teamwork. The band members, along with their coaches and mentors, invested countless hours in rehearsals, honing their craft and perfecting their set. Their hard work paid off in a triumphant moment that resonated not only within the hall but also across the USTP community.
Expressing their gratitude, the band’s spokesperson acknowledged their supportive leadership team, including Sir Gedion Maxilom, their coach and coordinator; Ma’am Joy Pepania; and Arts & Culture Director, Sir Ramil Pagon, for their constant guidance and encouragement along the way. “This victory shows our perseverance and passion,” said the spokesperson. “And above all, we thank the Lord for blessing us with this achievement.”
The success at the Sound Clash represents more than just a trophy; it reflects the resilience, creativity, and camaraderie of the USTP students. It serves as a reminder that with determination and support, young talents can reach new heights.
