USTP Claveria conducts orientation and mentoring program for students

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Claveria, Misamis Oriental (USTP Claveria), conducted a student organizations’ orientation, coaching, and mentoring program on November 12, 2025, at the USTP Claveria Student Center. The event aimed not only to outline rules and regulations but also to foster stronger, smarter, and more connected student organizations.
Dr. Lindylou M. Yamuta, Office of Student Affairs (OSA) Director, USTP Claveria, led the first talk on Legal Basis in the Creation of Student Organizations, and reminded everyone why student groups matter and how they’re anchored in policy.
Meanwhile, Mr. Jan Brylle A. Galarion, Head of Student Development, discussed the Accreditation of Student Organizations, clarifying the process and emphasizing the importance of maintaining accreditation as a student body. He also presented the guidelines for conducting activities, including the revised AWFP.
Finally, various advisors and moderators discussed how important it is to collaborate and the efficiency of teamwork.
The program featured a Q&A session, giving participants the chance to ask questions and share ideas. One of the event highlights was the Awarding of Accreditation Certificates, which recognized student organizations that met the standards of excellence in leadership and service.
The event was a celebration of leadership, collaboration, and growth. With these insights, student organizations are ready to make campus life vibrant and meaningful, furthering the goal of USTP in honing its students to become leaders and stewards in the future.
