USTP Claveria joins LGU Claveria in commemorating Rizal day

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Claveria, Misamis Oriental (USTP Claveria) lead by Chancellor Dr. Renato O. Arazo, and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Alexander L. Ido, and other heads of offices, faculty and staff of USTP Claveria, formally joined the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Claveria, headed by Honorable Mayor Dr. Reynante L. Salvaleon and Vice Mayor Alfred Azcuna, in the nationwide commemoration of Rizal Day, marking the 129th anniversary of the martyrdom of Dr. Jose P. Rizal, on December 30, 2025 at the Old Municipal Hall, Claveria Misamis Oriental.
The solemn observance served as a historic reminder of Dr. Rizal’s profound love for the nation and his tireless efforts for freedom, justice, and national development. In unity with the rest of the country, the gathering reflected a shared commitment to honor Rizal’s sacrifices and to uphold the values he stood for.
By paying tribute to Dr. Rizal, the participants reaffirmed their continued dedication to his principles and vision of a progressive and empowered Filipino society. The activity also highlighted the importance of collaboration between academic institutions and local government in strengthening patriotism and civic responsibility.
USTP Claveria and the LGU of Claveria emphasized the need to sustain cooperation, nurture Filipino culture, and remain steadfast in serving the community and the nation. Through unity and collective action, they expressed hope for a brighter, more inclusive, and sustainable future for all.
