USTP Claveria shines as ELASSO wins big at rodeo sa Ateneo 2025

The Eastern Luzon Agriculture and Students’ Society Organization (ELASSO) of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Claveria, Misamis Oriental (USTP Claveria) emerged as the overall champion at the highly anticipated Rodeo sa Ateneo 2025. The event took place on November 21–22, 2025, at the New Manresa Farm in Upper Puerto, Cagayan de Oro City.The two-day event brought together top competitors from the region who competed in various rodeo activities.
ELASSO showed great skill and teamwork, winning both the individual and team events to take the overall title.
ELASSO’s outstanding performance was highlighted by multiple podium finishes across various categories:
1-Man Lassoing – Champion
Kontakenti Ramonal
2-Woman Carambola – Champion
Keziah Ramonal and Uriel Macasero
4-Woman Carambola – Champion
Keziah Ramonal, Uriel Macasero, Rochedel Cabeloque, and MJ Maribojo
Load Carrying (Women) – Champion
Keziah Ramonal, Uriel Macasero, Rochedel Cabeloque, and MJ Maribojo
Load Carrying (Men) – 2nd Place
Ralph Lugmay, Ariel Años, Mark Jayboy Acero, and John Paul Resani
Participants and spectators applauded the outstanding teamwork and sportsmanship displayed throughout the competition. The victories reinforced USTP Claveria ELASSO’s reputation as a strong and disciplined contender in the regional rodeo scene.
