USTP commits to help the Out of School Youth

University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) System President Dr. Ambrosio B. Cultura II is one of the signatories in the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the Out of School Youth Development Alliance (OSYDA) of Cagayan de Oro City.

The signing of the MOA was done virtually.

OSYDA is created thru the Executive Order No.126 Series of 2020 to look for programs that can benefit the out of school youth in the city, formulate strategies and policies for appropriate livelihood projects and institutionalize youth programs in the city.

The alliance brings together the stakeholders from government, academe and private groups who are committed to help the out of school youth.


The program is also supported by Opportunity 2.0 of the USAID.


For its part, USTP will accommodate OSYs in the Institute of Continuing Education and Training (ICET); provide technical assistance to innovations, project concept and development; and provide career guidance and scholarships offered in the University.
