USTP Jasaan 2025 academe-industry forum: empowering collaboration for innovation and growth

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental (USTP Jasaan), headed by the Acting Campus Director Dr. Ruel S. Salvador has formally constituted the Academe-Industry Forum Committee 2025 with the theme “Bridging Academe and Industry for Local Development and Future-Ready Graduates.” The forum will be held on October 28, 2025, at the Audio-Visual Room, USTP Jasaan, Jasaan, Misamis Oriental.

Its goal is to strengthen relationships between academia, industry, and community stakeholders through communication, cooperation, and innovation-driven discussions to align academic programs with current industry demands, skill needs, and workforce.  Additionally, this is also an opportunity for research cooperation, internships, faculty immersion, and other collaborations.

According to Memorandum No. 1, series of 2025, the Overall Committee Chair, Lea May N. Caburatan, is in charge of managing, planning, coordinating, and carrying out activities related to the event, with subcommittees headed by dedicated faculty members and the heads of the Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Technology Communication Management, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of Science in Energy Systems and Management, and Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering Technology programs.

Among the invited industry partners are the Chief Executive Officers of Huwaida Mohammad Hawally, Bin Khaldoon Al Melham Complex in Kuwait City, Kuwait, Digital Institute Training and Development Services (DIT.ADS), and MASS SPECC Cooperative Development. Additionally, several esteemed partners from the energy, manufacturing, and shipyard industries will also contribute to the discussions at the event. 

USTP Jasaan is dedicated to forging stronger partnerships and creating more opportunities that drive progress for local and national development, showcasing the university’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and meaningful growth with its industry partners.
