USTP Jasaan hosts USTP Oroquieta for strategic administrative benchmarking

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Jasaan (USTP Jasaan) welcomed representatives from USTP Oroquieta Campus for a benchmarking activity on February 9, 2026, aimed at strengthening and harmonizing operational processes across key administrative and financial offices. The benchmarking activity was initiated at the request of USTP Oroquieta to benchmark and adopt proven best practices from USTP Jasaan in support of continuous operational improvement.
The visit focused on common operational processes in accounting, budget, cashiering, procurement, and property and supply management, giving both campuses a chance to share insights, compare systems, and identify areas to improve and standardize.
USTP Jasaan, led by Dr. Ruel S. Salvador, Acting Campus Director, facilitated the activity alongside Ferdinand M. Oraiz, Administration and Finance Head, together with the unit heads who presented their respective office procedures and best practices: Japeath D. Villegas, Accounting Unit Head; Kareen Claire L. Timario, Budget Unit Head; Allen Joy V. Japos, Cashier Unit Head; Evan O. Rojo, Procurement Unit Head; and Marlix E. Dacer, Supply and Property Management Head, along with the rest of the Administration and Finance personnel.
The USTP Oroquieta delegation was composed of Lanie Q. Lusing, Senior Bookkeeper; Glenziefe Mae S. Arnoza, Budget Unit Head; Rosela Narzabal, Cashiering Unit Head; Adrian Buan, Supply Unit Head; and Roberto S. Castro, Accounting Unit Head. USTP Jasaan recognized the benchmarking visit as a valuable platform for institutional learning and inter-campus collaboration.
By sharing its experiences and best practices, the campus reaffirmed its commitment to supporting system-wide improvements and fostering a culture of continuous enhancement across the USTP System. The activity concluded with mutual appreciation and a shared commitment to operational excellence, ensuring that both campuses continue to deliver responsive, efficient, and quality services to students, faculty, and stakeholders.
