USTP Jasaan researcher earns recognition for outstanding presentation on post-pandemic tourism

Lea May N. Caburatan, a faculty member of the General Education Unit of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental (USTP Jasaan), earned 3rd Place in the Best Presenter Award during the 21st PACUIT National Conference and 6th International Research Conference held on November 13–15, 2025, at USTP CDO.
Caburatan presented her study titled “Post-Pandemic Tourism Development in Libona, Bukidnon: Evaluating Sustainability and Policy Implication in Local Communities Using the OECD DAC Framework” under the track Human-Centered Design and Innovation in Industrial Arts and Crafts.
Her research evaluated sustainability outcomes and policy implications of post-pandemic tourism initiatives in Libona, Bukidnon, emphasizing data-driven strategies to support local development.
This year’s conference, themed “Driving Sustainable and Resilient Industrial Transformation: A Global Industry 5.0 Approach Through Smart Technologies,” brought together researchers from across the country and abroad to discuss innovations and solutions aligned with Industry 5.0.
Caburatan’s recognition highlights USTP Jasaan’s strong commitment to research excellence and its growing presence in national and international academic platforms.
