USTP Jasaan unites campus in four-day PANAGTIGI 2026 celebration

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental (USTP Jasaan) successfully celebrated PANAGTIGI 2026 from January 27 to January 30, 2026, uniting students, faculty, and staff in a four-day showcase of culture, intellect, creativity, and sportsmanship.

The celebration formally opened on January 27, marking Day 1 with ceremonial activities that set the tone for the annual festival. The day featured academic competitions such as declamation, storytelling, pagtatalumpati, quiz bee, and poster making, highlighting students’ critical thinking, communication skills, and creativity. The afternoon further came alive with larong lahi, reviving traditional Filipino games that promoted camaraderie and cultural appreciation. The evening concluded with socio-cultural nights, showcasing hip-hop performances, singing, and dance sports competitions.

On Day 2, January 28, PANAGTIGI sustained its momentum as academic, cultural, and sports events continued. Ball games intensified throughout the day, drawing enthusiastic support from the student body. The evening spotlighted diversity and self-expression through the Drag Queen event, which brought color, confidence, and creativity to the PANAGTIGI stage.

Competitions continued on January 29, with games running from morning to afternoon as teams demonstrated discipline, teamwork, and determination. One of the major highlights of the festival was the Mr. and Ms. USTP Jasaan 2026 pageant. The pageant emphasized not only grace and talent but also leadership, advocacy, and critical thinking.

PANAGTIGI 2026 concluded on January 30 with the much-anticipated awarding of winners, capping days of intense yet celebratory competition. After consolidating results from academic, cultural, and sports events, the overall placements were announced as follows:

4th runner up: Bachelor of Science in Technology Communication Management (BSTCM)
3rd runner up: Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT)
2nd runner up: Bachelor of Science in Energy Systems and Management (BSESM)
1st runner up: Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (BSNAME)
Overall Champion: Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering Technology (BS MET)

The Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering Technology (BS MET) program emerged as the overall champion of PANAGTIGI 2026, achieving a historic back-to-back-to-back title. Their consistent performance across multiple events reaffirmed their dominance and excellence in the annual celebration.

PANAGTIGI 2026 concluded as more than a competition—it stood as a testament to USTP-Jasaan’s vibrant student culture, unity, and commitment to holistic development. As the festival came to a close, it left the campus with lasting memories and a renewed sense of pride, setting a strong foundation for future PANAGTIGI celebrations.
