Reinforcing its role as a hub for operational excellence and knowledge-sharing within the university system, the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental (USTP Jasaan) hosted its second benchmarking activity this year, welcoming delegates from USTP Panaon Campus on February 12, 2026, for a collaborative exchange of best practices in administrative and financial management.

The visit marks the second time another campus has conducted a benchmarking activity at USTP Jasaan, highlighting the campus’s established systems and effective processes as models for replication across the university network. The initiative underscores the growing culture of inter-campus cooperation and continuous improvement within USTP.

The benchmarking sessions focused on key operational areas, including Accounting, Budget, Cashiering, Disbursement, and Property and Supply Management. Through presentations, discussions, and office walkthroughs, USTP Jasaan personnel shared their workflows, internal controls, compliance measures, and service strategies that promote efficiency, transparency, and accountability.

The USTP Panaon delegation was composed of Rosela S. Arances, Accountant II, Suzette H. Hayo, Budget Officer II, Denver Ian L. Gimeno, Supply Officer, Rolly G. Cuatesma, Cashier, Melanie C. Parame, Senior Bookkeeper, and Angeles S. Paza, Disbursing Officer.

Through these benchmarking visits, USTP Jasaan reaffirmed its commitment to fostering collaboration and supporting system-wide improvements. The campus continues to serve as a partner in promoting harmonized procedures and strengthened governance among USTP campuses.
