The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Oroquieta (USTP Oroquieta) recently celebrated a remarkable milestone in the development of its aspiring educators with the successful completion of the Final Demonstration Teaching during the first week of April 2025. This event marked the culmination of an intense and rewarding teaching practicum, highlighting the student teachers’ readiness to step into their future roles as professional educators.

During their practicum, the student teachers had the chance to fully immerse themselves in real classroom settings, working in a range of public elementary and secondary schools throughout Oroquieta City and the Division of Misamis Occidental. These placements were more than just a learning experience – the University allowed the student teachers to sharpen their classroom management skills, put teaching strategies into practice, and build meaningful connections with students from different backgrounds. With each new challenge, they grew in confidence and competence, ultimately becoming educators ready to meet the diverse needs of today’s learners.

USTP Oroquieta extends its heartfelt thanks to the following school principals and institutions for their unwavering support and for providing a platform for the university’s student teachers to grow and thrive:
