USTP Oroquieta conducts free vision and eye health services

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Oroquieta, Misamis Occidental (USTP Oroquieta), in partnership with Oroquieta Health Services and Smart View Optical Clinic, conducted a free eye check-up at the campus clinic on August 27 and 28, 2025. The campaign aimed to provide eye care services and information to students, faculty, and staff.
In the two-day event, participants received complimentary visual acuity screenings and consultations from a licensed optometrist. This allowed them to identify potential vision problems before they became more serious. Additionally, educational materials on eye care were distributed to promote awareness of good eye health. The event successfully concluded, furthering the partnership in promoting better eye health management.
The Free Eye Check-Up is just one of many wellness and preventive health service initiatives offered by USTP to its faculty, employees, and students. This reflects the importance of early diagnosis in preventing more severe health issues and underscores the campus’s ongoing commitment to community wellness.
