USTP Oroquieta dominates Intercampus Pitching Competition

On January 25, 2024, the Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (CET) of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) organized an intercampus pitching competition to showcase startups in the field of technopreneurship. The event was held at the USTP Oroquieta Covered Court in Misamis Occidental. 

Six teams participated in the competition, four representing USTP Oroquieta and two from USTP Panaon. Each team, led by visionary individuals, presented its startup ventures before a panel of esteemed experts. The audience was captivated by the teams’ diverse range of groundbreaking concepts and solutions.

All top three positions were won by teams from USTP Oroquieta, showcasing the campus’ outstanding ability to nurture innovative minds. E-Tech, led by Angelika Mantong, secured the second runner-up position, followed by DevXperts, spearheaded by Julius Calog. Team CodeBytes, under the leadership of Aljon Inting, was declared Champion with their pioneering project. All teams demonstrated remarkable ingenuity and determination.

Furthermore, all participating teams received certificates acknowledging their dedication, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit. The event concluded on a high note, fostering a sense of camaraderie and celebration among participants and highlighting USTP’s commitment to cultivating entrepreneurship and technological advancement.

As the curtains closed on this event, the echoes of creativity and determination remained, promising a bright future for innovation within the USTP System and beyond.
