The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Oroquieta, Misamis Occidental (USTP Oroquieta) successfully held the System-Wide Integrated Wellness Initiative spearheaded by the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Services (VPSAS) on November 13, 2025, at the USTP Oroquieta Covered Court in Mobod, Oroquieta City. Organized in collaboration with the university’s Guidance Counselors and Advocates, Medical Staff, and Physicians, the event provided a unified platform for delivering all kinds of comprehensive support, such as physical and mental health, including health screenings, counseling services, and wellness education, which is designed to improve students’ well-being.

The program was led by Dr. Maria Cecilia L. Pangan, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, alongside Lovely M. Apostol, RGC, Director for Guidance and Counseling Services, and Reeo Elir C. Masigan, M.D., Head of USTP Health Services, together with the university’s Medical and Dental Teams. Anchored on USTP’s commitment to holistic student development, the initiative addressed essential student concerns such as bullying and stress management, promoted accessible medical and dental care, and encouraged proactive participation in sustaining personal wellness.

The Office of Student Affairs and Services of USTP Oroquieta, headed by Ms. Nadeth R. Leopoldo, expressed its gratitude to all participants. The success of the Integrated Wellness Drive reflects the university’s consistent efforts to build a healthier, more resilient, well-supported student community.
