In celebration of National Arts Month 2025, the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Panaon, Misamis Occidental (USTP Panaon) held a successful event themed “Cultivating Spirit and Emotion through Arts Towards the Vision and Mission of USTP Panaon.”

The event kicked off with a welcome address from Dr. Leny Q. Añasco, Acting Campus Director of USTP Panaon, represented by Clefford L. Medel, the newly appointed E-Theatro Moderator. The celebration featured a dynamic lineup of performances, starting with a modern dance and song presentation by the E-Theatro Dancers and Singers. This was followed by a cultural dance and song performance that showcased the richness of Filipino heritage. The event culminated in a grand performance featuring all E-Theatro Dancers and Singers.

A highlight of the celebration was the On-the-Spot Painting Contest. Contestants were challenged to illustrate how students in their respective programs contribute to achieving the institution’s goals. The contest lasted for an hour, after which an exhibit and an awarding ceremony took place.

All nine participants from various programs were recognized on stage and awarded certificates of participation by Dr. Leny Q. Añasco, along with Celso C. Almirol, Arts and Culture Coordinator. The winners of the competition were:
- 1st Place: Nilver R. Salvacion (4th-year BTLE student)
- 2nd Place: Ma. Theresa G. Plarita (2nd-year BST-IT student)
- 3rd Place: April Mae N. Toledo (3rd-year BTLE student)
Following the awarding ceremony, the event opened the floor for an Open Mic Session, inviting faculty members and students to showcase their diverse talents in singing, spoken word poetry, and other artistic expressions. This session celebrated the unique skills and creativity of the USTP community.
The celebration continued with a lively weekly Zumba session led by the E-Theatro Dancers, which energized the attendees. The event concluded with a flag retreat, marking the end of a successful and art-filled celebration.

The National Arts Month 2025 celebration at USTP Panaon served as a platform for students and faculty to express their creativity, showcase their talents, and reaffirm their commitment to the university’s vision and mission through the power of the arts.
