Faculty members from the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Panaon, Misamis Occidental (USTP Panaon) were officially sworn in as Associate Members of the Department of Science and Technology – National Research Council of the Philippines (DOST-NRCP). The ceremony took place during the 2026 Annual Scientific Conference and 93rd General Membership Assembly, held on March 13, 2026, at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.

The newly inducted Associate Members are Mr. Marjune T. Bonilla, representing Division IX-Physics, and Ms. Mary Jane A. Moralia, representing Division VIII-Social Sciences. The NRCP, a prestigious collegial body under the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), serves as the nation’s leading organization of scientists and researchers, committed to advancing scientific knowledge and fostering research excellence throughout the country.

Their induction brings the total number of NRCP members from USTP Panaon to three, joining Mr. Christopher R. This milestone further solidifies USTP Panaon’s position as a key player in environmental research and scientific innovation within the region.

With its growing roster of DOST-NRCP associate members, USTP Panaon anticipates forging new partnerships and undertaking more collaborative research projects in the future.
