USTP Panaon IT department participates at 5th MDP research forum

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Panaon, Misamis Occidental (USTP Panaon) actively participated in the 5th MDP Student Research Conference on March 7, 2026 held via Zoom. The conference was organized by Universitas Multi Data Palembang (UMDP), bringing together researchers and student innovators from universities across Southeast Asia. The event serves as an international platform for presenting innovative research and fostering academic collaboration.
The USTP Panaon among other participants in Mindanao has the highest number of accepted papers. The delegation is composed of two faculty members and three students from the Department of Information Technology who presented their research outputs highlighting the campus’ commitment to advancing technological innovation and strengthening international academic engagement. In line with this, the USTP Panaon also congratulates Ms. Janepol Ballard, Ms. Judielyn Cualbar, Raymart Poras, Janny Abu-Abu, and Joanna Aboga-a for successfully presenting their research papers at the conference. Their successful participation not only showcases USTP Panaon’s innovation and research capabilities but also highlights the institution’s growing role in international research collaboration and in technology-driven solutions for community development.
The university takes pride in the achievements of its faculty and students, whose work continues to contribute meaningful solutions to real-world challenges while bringing recognition to USTP Panaon and the Philippines on the international stage.
