USTP Panaon is one of the beneficiary SUCs of the Free Wi-Fi Hotspots in the Philippines.

The Free Wi-Fi for All Project is a strategy implemented by the DICT to accelerate delivery of FREE Wi-Fi service in the region to provincial capitols, state universities and colleges (SUCs), public hospitals, and other public places. Beneficiaries are given at least 4 Access Points (APs) per location with at least 10 Mbps of Internet Bandwidth (CIR) managed by multiple suppliers per province and 24/7 access to internet-based communication and government’s online services.

As of February, there are already 7,753 Free Wi-Fi hotspots nationwide with 448 Free Wi-Fi live sites in Region X. There are 64 hotspots in Misamis Occidental.
