USTP Panaon strengthens academic internationalization with participation in IVCEES 2025

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) in Panaon, Misamis Occidental through Marjho Mae S. Cardoza, Marine Biology Faculty participated in the 5th International Vietnam Conference for Environmental and Earth Sciences (IVCEES), scheduled last November 24 to 28, 2025, in Quy Nhon, Vietnam.

Ms. Cardoza presented her paper entitled “Effects of Size and Filtration Duration on the Clearance Rates of  Azorinus coarctatus (Gmelin, 1791) and Mytella strigata (Hanley, 1843) during the Biodiversity and Aquatic Resources  parallel session.

The event was organized by the association Rencontres du Vietnam, founded by Jean Thanh Van in 1993, a non-profit organization and an official UNESCO partner, whose objective is to promote international exchanges between Vietnam and the international community, particularly in the fields of science and education with over 200 delegates coming from Germany, France, India, Italy, Japan, the Philippines, Taiwan, and the United Arab Emirates.

This international engagement of USTP Panaon aligns with the USTP System’s Internationalization Roadmap and Strategic Development Plan, both of which emphasize global collaboration, research excellence, and strengthened academic visibility.
