USTP student embodies leadership and service at NYC 2025

In championing student leadership, immediate past of the University of Science and Technology Southern Philippines (USTP) Student Regent and the University Student Government (USG) President Rave M. Arao was elected as Primary Regional Convenor for Region X in the National Youth Parliament National Assembly held on November 17-21, 2025 in Vigan,Ilocos.
The 13th National Youth Parliament National Assembly gathers youth insights, feedback, and recommendations on youth development policies and programs.Their roles include serving as members of the Philippine Youth Development Plan Regional Inter-Agency Committee, where they will help shape next year’s Philippine Youth Development Plan for the next two years. This assembly also empowers youth participation in legislative and governance discussions, as well as policy-making, wherein youth leaders converge, ready to represent the Filipino for national gathering of young parliamentarians, tackling pressing youth issues in our country. Mr. Arao’s designation at NYC reflects the values of USTP in social responsiveness and the embodiment of leadership contributing to a sustainable future.
As the primary regional convenor, he will represent the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) in the Regional Task Force quarterly meeting and will advocate and lobby for approved resolutions from concerned agencies, thus his term is for two years. Alongside Mr. Arao is Mr. Kent Joahs G. Escabarte of USTP Tigpanuki Debate Society (TUDS) who also served as secondary regional convenor.
