USTP undergoes annual Internal Quality Audit

Internal quality auditors of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines will once again check the different offices of the university to validate if the office is in conformance with various Quality Management System (QMS) requirements for ISO 9001:2015 from February 15 to 18, 2021.

The four day (4) system-wide audit will be done virtually using online web conferencing. This is to conform to health protocols while face to face interaction is discouraged in time of the pandemic.

The internal audit is in preparation for the external audit which is scheduled on April 28-29 this year.

Dr. Maria Elena L. Paulma, Vice President for Academic Affairs of the USTP System and Quality Management Leader, said the conduct of audit for the International Organization for Standard (ISO) shows growth towards becoming better to serve others.

USTP System President Dr. Ambrosio B. Cultura II enjoins everyone to support the internal audit.

USTP System President Dr. Ambrosio B. Cultura II said the University remains steadfast in its commitment to integrity and transparency in the delivery of services.

Last year, USTP has added new offices, new officials and new office processes despite the challenges brought by the pandemic.

“We have to continue to fulfill our duties and responsibilities for the communities that we serve,” Dr. Cultura added.

He also thanked the Quality Management Teams and Internal Auditors for sharing their time and expertise.

Subject for audit are the system level offices and the offices of the major campuses of USTP.
