USTP Villanueva joins PHIVIDEC - IA Open House 2025

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Villanueva (USTP Villanueva) has successfully participated in the Philippine Veterans Investment Development Corporation Industrial Authority (PHIVIDEC – IA) Open House Exhibit 2025 in March 26, 2025, marking its second year of engagement in the prestigious event.
One of the highlights of the event was the Industry Lecture Series, where Dr. Francis Thaise A. Cimene, PhD, Resource Speaker and Faculty of USTP Villanueva, delivered an insightful discussion on “Fostering Stronger Academia-Industry Partnerships Through Research, Innovation, and Community Engagement.” Her lecture underscored the importance of collaboration between academic institutions and industries to drive innovation, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth.
Dr. Cimene emphasized how research-driven partnerships can enhance business development, industrial expansion, and workforce readiness, ensuring that students and professionals alike contribute effectively to the evolving economic landscape. She also highlighted the need for continuous engagement between universities and industries to create practical solutions for real-world challenges.
