USTP Villanueva observes Ash Wednesday with Solemn Reflection

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental (USTP Villanueva) marked the beginning of the Lenten season with a meaningful Ash Wednesday observance on March 5, 2025 at USTP Villanueva. Faculty, staff, and students gathered in solemn reflection as Rev. Fr. Robert Roey Pajo presided over the Eucharistic celebration and the imposition of ashes.
The ceremony served as a poignant reminder of human mortality and the call to spiritual renewal. As participants received the ashes on their foreheads, they were encouraged to embrace the Lenten season as a time of prayer, fasting, and transformation.
Through this sacred tradition, USTP Villanueva reaffirmed its commitment to faith and personal reflection, reminding everyone that while we come from dust and will return to dust, we are also called to rise anew in faith and purpose.
