The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP), through its International Affairs Office (IAO), welcomed a delegation from Caraga State University (CSU) for a benchmarking visit focused on internationalization (IZN) practices. Conducted on June 25, 2025, at the USTP Cagayan de Oro. The activity provided a venue for academic interchange and institutional partnership.

The CSU delegation sought to gain insights to discover USTP’s best practices for campus management and embracing new technological systems in the facilitation of internationalization.USTP, recognized for its progressive IZN initiatives, discussed best practices on strategic aspects such as study mobility programs, mechanisms of financing outbound student activities, and approaches that contribute to university rankings and global competitiveness.

This benchmarking highlights USTP’s role as a leading institution in international academic development and its commitment to knowledge sharing among Philippine higher education institutions. Through these collaborative efforts, both universities strengthen their missions to deliver globally aligned education and expand opportunities for students and faculty in the international academic community.
