USTP’s Center for Artificial Intelligence and Design & Engineering Center receives P3.2 million from DOST

The Department of Science and Technology Regional Office X (DOST-10) handed over to the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) the check amounting to P3.2 million pesos for the funding of three (3) research and development projects.

The approved projects include:

  1. Development of Poultry Monitoring System

           Amount: Php 897,163.63
           Project Leader: Engr. Miriam Bergado

  1. Design, Fabrication and Testing of Dehusking and Defleshing Equipment for Durian Ice Cream Making

           Amount: Php 1,200,000.00
           Project Leader: Engr. Dennis Ganas

  1. Design, Fabrication and Testing of a Thermal Drying and Roasting System for various Agricultural Products for MSMEs

           Amount: Php 1,200,000.00
           Project Leader: Dr. Antonio-Abdu Sami Magomnang

DOST Regional Director Alfonso P. Alamban hands over the check to Engr. Bronson G. Mabulay of USTP

The project is under the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD). It will be implemented starting January 1 to December 31, 2021.

All three (3) projects are under USTP’s Center for Artificial Intelligence and Design & Engineering Center which is headed by Engr. Bronson G. Mabulay.
