Enhancing Operational Efficiency: Vehicle Preventive Maintenance and Troubleshooting Seminar for the Philippine National Police
An Extension Program of BS in Autotronics (2023)
Project Overview
The Philippine National Police (PNP) plays a crucial role in maintaining public safety, security, and order within the country. One of the essential components of their operational readiness is a fleet of vehicles used for various purposes, including patrolling, emergency response, and transportation. These vehicles are critical assets in enabling the PNP to effectively carry out its duties. However, maintaining and troubleshooting a diverse and often aging vehicle fleet can pose significant challenges. Inadequate maintenance can result in operational inefficiencies, increased repair costs, and even vehicle downtime, which can hinder law enforcement activities and emergency response times.
Project Description
In response to these challenges, the R10 Regional Logistics, Research, and Development Division of the PNP has initiated the “Vehicle Preventive Maintenance and Troubleshooting Seminar” with the help of USTP College of Technology under the Program of BS Autotronics. This comprehensive training program is designed to empower PNP personnel with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure the reliability, safety, and longevity of their vehicle fleet. The seminar will cover a wide range of topics, including:
- Vehicle preventive maintenance schedules and procedures
- Common vehicle faults and troubleshooting techniques
- Basic automotive repair and maintenance skills
- Vehicle safety and accident prevention
- Project Goals and Objectives
The primary objective of the project is to impart valuable insights and practical skills to the PNP personnel, enabling them to proactively address vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. This will contribute to the following goals:
