The College of Science and Technology Education (CSTE) of USTP Cagayan de Oro was awarded a Plaque of Recognition as a partner of various projects and programs of the Department of Education – El Salvador City Division.
CSTE started the partnership in 2019 for research capability training for the teachers spearheaded by the faculty members of the Department of Mathematics Education and the Department of Science Education. The collaboration was recognized as an effective way for teachers to conduct action researches and improve the teaching and learning process. After the first training, DepEd El Salvador requested for another round of research capability training to include more of their teachers.
USTP’s research capability training is a mentoring program where the El Salvador teachers will undergo the phases of research from research plan conceptualization, to research implementation, presentation, and publication.
