Design and Engineering Center

The general objective of the Center is to primarily address the economic needs of the food processing industry, such as the food processing equipment and its users (the MSMEs), and the mechanization of the agriculture sector. Specifically, the Center aims to:

  • Design, develop, and re-engineer technologies, systems, and equipment for transfer and commercialization.
  • Establish a Science & Technology Innovations (STI) ecosystem of Research and Development Institutions (RDIs) and stakeholders.
  • Provide access of equipment, facilities, and other resources to inventors, innovators, and researchers.
  • Develop economic linkages with industry and various market players to invigorate investments.
