MinDA meets with USTP Claveria for SMART Agriculture Park

The Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) met with officials from the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) Claveria Campus, led by Chancellor Dr. Renato O. Arazo, to discuss the establishment of an Agropolic Science and Technology Park in Claveria, Misamis Oriental, through its Area Management Office-Northern Mindanao officer-in-charge Lordilie Enjambre.

The park’s establishment will institutionalize the university’s innovation ecosystem, which will considerably aid in the development of new technologies responsive to the needs of industry and the economy.

The USTP is in the midst of developing plans to bridge gaps in environmental protection, conservation, and development for the promotion of the agriculture sector in the locality and nearby areas.

MinDA is a project partner stakeholder who will assist in the development plans, taking into account the needs and development ambitions of the local government units of Claveria, Gingoog, Magsaysay, Medina, and Tagoloan, as well as national line agency development programs.
