Beyond the Finish Line

The atmosphere of the Fun Run was filled with enjoyment and excitement, but there’s more to it. The proceeds of the fun run were donated to the Student Assistance Program (SAP) of the Office of Student Affairs of USTP CDO. The SAP provides support through meals to financially challenged students who come to school with empty stomachs. The SAP will evolve in the succeeding years, and students may receive a rice allowance, load allowance, transportation allowance, and more.

The event also acknowledged the Top 5 Finishers in the female and male categories and other awards, including Best Duo on the Run, 1st Registrant, Oldest, and Youngest Runner.

Fostering Wellness

Participating in a fun run provides a sense of community in the university. It also offers several advantages, including enhancing muscle strength and cardiovascular health and triggering the release of endorphins, known as “feel-good” hormones. These hormones stabilize mood, leading to feelings of happiness and promoting overall mental well-being.

Fun runs unite people, strengthening camaraderie and solidarity. They inspire individuals to push their limits, establish goals, and strive to accomplish them. Additionally, community fun runs frequently initiate fundraising efforts that benefit society.

See you on the next fun run, Trailblazers!
