Jamerex C. Quinco, Supreme Student Council (SSC) President of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Balubal (USTP Balubal), represented Northern Mindanao (Region X) at SIBOL 2026: The 3rd National Agriculture and Youth Summit, held on October 15–16, 2026, at the Ibalong Centrum for Recreation in Legazpi City, Albay. The two-day summit brought together youth leaders, students, young farmers, and agricultural advocates from across the Philippines to discuss agricultural development, food security, and sustainable farming initiatives. It provided a platform for participants to exchange ideas and explore ways to address challenges in agriculture through youth participation and innovation.

The program featured interactive workshops, expert-led panel discussions, and collaborative sessions focused on integrating modern technologies and youth-driven solutions into agricultural practices. Through these activities, participants explored approaches to strengthening local farming communities and encouraging greater youth involvement in agricultural development.

Quinco’s participation highlighted the role of student leadership in discussions on national agricultural priorities. His involvement also provided an opportunity to represent USTP Balubal and contribute to exchanges among young leaders working toward sustainable agricultural development.

His participation at SIBOL 2026 highlights the importance of engaging young leaders in initiatives that support food security, sustainable agriculture, and community development. It also underscores the potential of student leadership to connect educational institutions with broader development efforts in Northern Mindanao and beyond.
