USTP CDO brings pride to Northern Mindanao with wins at 4-H Agrilympics 2026

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Cagayan de Oro (USTP CDO), through its 4-H Club, delivered outstanding performances at the 12th Regional 4-H Youth Camp and Agrilympics held from April 14 to 17, 2026, at Jay Farmville, Iligan City. The event gathered young agricultural leaders from across Northern Mindanao, providing a platform to showcase creativity, technical skills, and innovative project ideas in agriculture. 

Among the highlights, Kathleen Grace Gultiano, a 3rd Year BS in Computer Science student secured the Champion title in the National Excellence Achievers Awards (NEAA) Hands Category, while Jordan Tungal, a BS in Environmental Science student emerged as Champion in the NEAA Health Category. In addition, Kein Euhann L. Cruz, a 1st Year BS in Mechanical Engineering placed 4th in the Quiz Bee, and William Ace Aranez, a 4th Year BS in Applied Mathematics earned 4th place in the Agri-Innovation Pitching Competition.

These achievements reflect the dedication and capability of USTP CDO students in the field of agriculture. Their success was supported by the guidance of the 4-H Club Federation of Cagayan de Oro, led by Mx. Ezel Lambatan and Kathleen Claire G. Patimo, as well as the continued support of local partners, including the Agricultural Productivity Operations Office (APOO) under Engr. Bernie A. Daba Jr. and the City Veterinary Office headed by Dr. Helen Ann P. Tacandong.

With their strong performance at the regional level, the USTP CDO delegates are set to represent Northern Mindanao in the upcoming national competitions to be held in Bohol. Their achievements underscore the University’s commitment to developing competent, innovative, and socially responsive future leaders in agriculture.
