USTP CDO, DA-ATI partner for AgriCircle Project in Northern Mindanao

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Cagayan de Oro (USTP CDO), through the USTP Center for Human Development, and the Department of Agriculture–Agricultural Training Institute Regional Training Center X (DA-ATI RTC X) formalized their collaboration for the implementation of the AgriCircle Project through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony held on June 10, 2026, in El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental.
AgriCircle – An Agricultural Community Portal for Northern Mindanao is a digital innovation initiative designed to empower farmers, agri-entrepreneurs, and other agricultural stakeholders through an integrated online platform.
The agreement was signed by USTP CDO Chancellor Atty. Dionel O. Albina and DA-ATI RTC X Center Director Dir. Maria Lydia Echavez. Witnessing the signing were EnP Angelie A. Collera, Head of the USTP Center for Human Development and AgriCircle Project Leader, and Honeylou C. Bastasa, Information Officer III of DA-ATI RTC X.
Funded by the Department of Science and Technology–Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD), the project features an e-Market platform, an e-Training and Knowledge Hub, and Expert Consultation Services. These components aim to improve market access, enhance knowledge sharing, and provide timely access to agricultural expertise.
Under the agreement, DA-ATI RTC X will support the development, pilot testing, validation, and adoption of the AgriCircle platform across Northern Mindanao. The agency will facilitate the participation of farmers, farmer organizations, cooperatives, agribusiness stakeholders, and Learning Sites for Agriculture (LSAs), while providing technical inputs and extension support to strengthen the platform’s implementation and utilization.
The collaboration underscores the shared commitment of USTP and DA-ATI RTC X to advancing digital innovation, capacity building, and technology-driven solutions that promote sustainable and inclusive agricultural development in Northern Mindanao.
