USTP Claveria Chancellor named regional qualifier for Gawad Lingkod Bayan ng Pangulo

Chancellor Dr. Renato O. Arazo of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Claveria, Misamis Oriental (USTP Claveria), was recognized as a Regional Qualifier for the Gawad Lingkod Bayan ng Pangulo during the Philippine Civil Service Commission’s 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary celebration held at Mallberry Suites Business Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City, on September 30, 2026. Held under the theme “Puso, Dangal, at Galing Para sa Bayan,” the “Parangal at Pasasalamat” ceremony recognized government workers and groups who demonstrated exemplary public service and dedication to the Filipino people.
Chancellor Arazo was among the individual regional qualifiers nominated for the Gawad Lingkod Bayan ng Pangulo, alongside Lorenzo III B. Dinlayan, Professor V of Bukidnon State University. Other awardees and qualifiers included Rosanna G. Generato, Chief Administrative Officer of Bukidnon State University; Romeo B. Aclo, Education Program Supervisor of the Department of Education–Division of Cagayan de Oro City; and Dante S. Victoria, Board Secretary V of Bukidnon State University.
For the group category, recognized nominees included the ADLAI Research for Development and Extension Team of the Department of Agriculture–Region 10 and the BukSU Early Childhood Education Department Extension of Bukidnon State University.
The recognition highlights Arazo’s contribution to public service and leadership at USTP–Claveria, further underscoring the university’s commitment to excellence, integrity, and service to the community.
