The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University (SBBU) have formalized a strategic partnership aimed at fostering education, innovation, and global competitiveness. This partnership was solidified through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on June 3, 2024, at the USTP Boardroom.

The signing of the MOA and MOU between the University System President, Dr. Ambrosio B. Cultura II, and SBBU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Muhammad Shahab, marks the beginning of a promising collaboration. Under the MOA, USTP and SBBU’s College of Numerical Science (CNS) will collaborate to enrich the University’s curriculum and enhance the programs, leveraging CNS’s expertise in deep learning models. The MOU further solidifies the commitment of both institutions to foster mutual academic enrichment and innovation through cooperative activities.

The ceremony also served as an opportunity to welcome Prof. Siraj Muhammed as a visiting professor at the University.
