The “Araw ng Jasaan” was established through Republic Act No. 11142, declaring every 1st of September of every year as a special non-working holiday to commemorate the founding anniversary of the Municipality of Jasaan in the Province of Misamis Oriental.

The civic-military parade allowed government and non-government organizations, public and private educational institutions, and industries within the municipality to come together and dance to the cheerful melody of the xylophones and drums to kick off the much-awaited celebration.
