Members of the faculty from the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) Jasaan joined the Systemwide Curriculum Review and Mapping for the Entrepreneurs Path last April 26, 2022, via Zoom at the campus audio-visual room.

The event, which was organized by the USTP System Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology (CET), is in line with the university’s aim to equip the faculty to better understand the entrepreneurial process of creative ideas. The activity also aligns with the application of the course content for the students to understand and use their knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship.

USTP Jasaan faculty members actively participated in the Systemwide Curriculum Review and Mapping for the Entrepreneurs Path

As such, the activity introduced the fundamental principle of an entrepreneur’s behavior in gaining insight, emphasizing that the entrepreneurial mindset should begin in the University. The activity also introduced the USTP’s role in nation building, citing the Strategic Plan Vision 2030 and the university’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program (IEP).

The CET believes that entrepreneurial skills will be helpful in the students’ careers. More importantly, because entrepreneurs favor progress over perfection, having the behavior and mindset of an entrepreneur while in school will help them succeed.
