USTP, LGU Lourdes sign MOA opening USTP Alubijid

As part of its initiatives to collaborate with various entities through Research, Development, and Extension, the USTP signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on May 5, 2022, with the LGU of Lourdes, Alubijid in Misamis Oriental, where the soon-to-be USTP main campus is located.

Dr. Lory Liza D. Bulay-og, Acting Campus Director for USTP Alubijid, opened the event by sharing her gratitude for the support given by the USTP administration and the LGU-Lourdes in helping realize the opening of the campus, including its courses, facilities, and services.

The MOA Signing was participated by USTP and LGU Lourdes officials headed by USTP System President Ambrosio B. Cultura II and Brgy. Captain Ferdinand A. Macahilos, respectively.

Also present during the event was Mr. Mark Godfrey Torres, the Education Supervisor of CHED-X, who expressed his gratitude for USTP’s actions in providing quality higher education in the area.

Dr. Ma. Elena L. Paulma, the Vice President for Academic Affairs of the USTP System, thanked everyone involved in this significant leap for the USTP Alubjid campus, particularly the LGU, for welcoming the University, saying,

“This is the start of a good partnership. We will do everything that we can to address the needs of the community because that is our mission — to bring the world of work into our classrooms and to bring out our students so that we can be of service to everyone.”

Ribbon cutting ceremony with USTP and LGU Lourdes Officials

The launching and ribbon-cutting ceremony of the newly renovated academic building of the USTP Alubijid campus followed.

Father Lino A. Macatol II presided over the blessing of the USTP Alubijid academic building.

Several USTP officials and staff also conducted a small-scale tree planting activity near the Research and Development Office (RDO) of the USTP S&T Park in Alubijid, Misamis Oriental.
