USTP Oroquieta celebrates ASEAN Day 2026, strengthens regional engagement

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Oroquieta, Misamis Occidental (USTP Oroquieta) celebrated ASEAN Day 2026 on August 17, 2026, as part of the 2026 USTP Charter Day Celebration at the USTP Oroquieta Campus. The observance highlighted regional unity, cooperation, and cultural understanding among the member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Students, faculty members, and staff participated in the celebration, which promoted greater awareness and appreciation of Southeast Asia’s diverse cultures and shared regional identity.
Held alongside the University’s Charter Day celebration, the activity also provided an opportunity to highlight the importance of international engagement in higher education, including academic collaboration, cultural exchange, and student mobility within the ASEAN region.
USTP Oroquieta continues to promote cultural awareness, regional cooperation, and international engagement as part of its efforts to prepare students for an increasingly connected academic and professional environment.
