The Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education major in Home Economics (BTLEd-HE) third-year students of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Oroquieta, Misamis Occidental (USTP Oroquieta), successfully conducted their Culmination Activity in Clothing Construction on May 26, 2026, at the campus covered court. The event showcased the students’ creativity, craftsmanship, and artistic excellence through a vibrant fashion presentation featuring their handcrafted designs. Proudly displayed on the runway, each creation reflected the knowledge, technical skills, dedication, and passion the students developed throughout the course.
The showcase featured a variety of impressive designs, including smartly tailored uniforms, elegant gowns, culturally inspired attire, and glamorous Festival Queen gowns. Each piece demonstrated not only technical competence in clothing construction but also the students’ passion for fashion, appreciation of culture, and commitment to quality craftsmanship. The culmination served as a platform for students to transform their ideas into wearable works of art while building confidence and professionalism in the field of Home Economics.
The successful conduct of the culmination reflects the commitment of USTP Oroquieta to its vision of becoming a globally competitive university of science and technology and its mission of developing competent, innovative, and values-driven individuals. Through activities such as this, the university continues to provide transformative learning experiences that nurture students’ talents, strengthen practical competencies, and promote excellence in technical and professional education.
